The LCHS NJROTC Booster Club holds several fundraisers throughout the school year to support cadet activities. These events help provide the resources that keep our program strong and create opportunities for our cadets. We encourage families and cadets to participate whenever possible - every effort makes a difference in supporting our battalion's success!
Red Tag: Cadets request community support across Loudoun County one weekend in September. Cadets pair up and knock on doors to share with the community about all the positive aspects of our NJROTC Battalion. Parent volunteers drive groups of cadets to assigned neighborhoods, and senior cadets mentor younger cadets in how to present themselves professionally, speak respectfully, and advocate for the battalion.
White Letter: Cadets are individually photographed in uniform and then send letters with their photos to extended family and friends, requesting support for the battalion. Parent volunteers assist in the Naval Science classrooms, helping cadets learn to prepare letters and envelopes for postal mail (a new experience for many of them!). The photos of the cadets in uniform are a special keepsake as they grow from young NS-1s in plain uniforms to mature NS-4s in uniforms proudly displaying the ribbons and medals earned over the years.
Cadet Car Wash: Basic Leadership Training week ends with the cadets providing car washes to the community and gratefully accepting donations.
Spirit Nights: Held throughout the school year, these events have been supported by many of our local restaurants, which have donated based on purchases. Have a connection at a local eatery? Reach out to the Booster Board to set up a Spirit Night!
Spirit Wear: Thanks to our partnership with J.Boos Creatives, every purchase of LCHS NJROTC spirit wear supports our battalion activities. Watch for spirit wear sales in the fall and spring to gear up to support our cadets!
